How is the weather at this time of the year? What happens if it rains? Do you refund?

- Puntarenas is one of the driest areas in Costa Rica. In the rainy season, The Gulf of Nicoya remains much dryer than the rest of Costa Rica (sometimes it rains during the late afternoon on the way back from Tortuga to Puntarenas). The exceptions are during large storms or off shore hurricanes. In these rare cases, the captain will decide if we run the tour or CANCEL. In this case, we refund 100%

How many hours is the tour?

- From San Jose or Manuel Antonio the bus transportation starts at 6am and returns aprox 8pm

- From Jaco it starts at 7:15 am and returns aprox 6:30pm

- From Puntarenas it starts at 9:30am and returns aprox 5:30pm

 Do you provide vegetarian meal?

- Yes. Our lunch includes 4 Salads is the buffet and the Main Course coarse is chicken, but we can also provide fish (with advance notice). For pure vegetarians we will make a special plantain ceviche.

What does the Costa Rican Typical breakfast include?

- Fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, Gallo Pinto (rice and beans), sour cream, bread, fruit juice, and hot coffee.

My baby is only XX months old. Is it safe for him to go?

Yes, it is a safe trip for all ages. For those that need shade, there is the main salon and the covered fly bridge deck. Manta Raya is also the only boat equipped with a bow ramp, so our passengers are able to walk safely directly onto the beach. Manta Raya carries life jackets for all passengers including children’s sizes.

 Are optional activities available at the Island? Should bring cash to the island?

- Yes, the island staff offers some additional activities, lounge chairs and a souvenir tent as an extra service. The money is used to preserve the area and clean the beach (the cost is inexpensive in comparison with most tourist areas)

 - You can bring about $20 for 2 activities, some extra if you want a souvenir and some cash for the bar (bar can be paid with any major credit card)

Do you pickup from all hotels in San Jose?

- We have a specific route made to asure a faster and easier departure and return from San Jose. Due to the many hotels and difficult access in downtown San Jose, for a big bus, it is not possible to go everywhere, so we have a list of hotels.
